Importancia de la gerencia del conocimiento: contrastes entre la teoría y la evidencia empírica

Abstract

Este estudio analiza la importancia que las organizaciones dan en Colombia a la gerencia del conoci- miento, para responder a los retos del actual orden económico mundial. Para ello se aplicó una encuesta a 2.249personasen83organizacionesdediferentestaman ̃osysectoresdeactividadeconómica,localizadas en la ciudad de Bogotá. En general, los resultados indican que la gerencia del conocimiento no es una práctica usual en estas organizaciones, situación que contrasta desfavorablemente con el alto grado de importancia que las organizaciones en los países desarrollados dan a estas actividades, consideradas como estratégicas para potenciar su capacidad innovadora y competitividad sostenible. Rasgos estos de los que en general adolecen las empresas en Colombia y los cuales son necesarios potenciar.
