Transformación productiva de la industria en Colombia y sus regiones después de la apertura económica

    Este artículo analiza el comportamiento de la estructura industrial de Colombia y susregiones entre 1974 y 2005, con el propósito de determinar si la reforma liberalimplementada a finales del siglo XX profundizó el estancamiento de la industria y su pocadiversificación. Se concluye que la desaceleración del crecimiento industrial y elestancamiento de la transformación productiva se profundizaron con el modeloaperturista, dada la mayor competencia para las industrias nacionales. El proceso no fueidéntico en todas las regiones analizadas, las más industrializadas (Antioquia, Atlántico,Valle del Cauca y Bogotá) se desindustrializaron, por el contrario las de menor desarrollo(Bolívar y Cundinamarca) presentaron un proceso inverso.
