Identificación de los factores de riesgo de violencia de género en el Ecuador como base para una propuesta preventiva

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio es identificar los factores de riesgo asociados a la violencia sufrida por la mujer en el ámbito de la pareja en el Ecuador. Siguiendo el marco interpretativo ecológico propuesto por Heise (1998, 2012) se utiliza un modelo de regresión logístico con base en la información de la Segunda Encuesta de Violencia de Género realizada en 2019 que incluye a mujeres de 15 anos o más de edad que tienen o han tenido pareja. En los escenarios comunitario y social se deberán considerar estrategias integrales de empoderamiento y reducción de la pobreza y, en el ámbito individual la prevención debe estar focalizada en mujeres jóvenes, en situación de pobreza, indígenas y en relaciones de larga duración.
