Herramientas de política fiscal para aprovechar el cambio tecnológico sesgado en un entorno de desigualdad y crecimiento económico

Abstract

En este artículo se plantea un modelo teórico en el que se muestran los efectos del cambio tecnológico sesgado sobre el crecimiento y la desigualdad. A la vez, se analiza la efectividad de la política pública para aprovechar las bondades del choque tecnológico, en cuanto a crecimiento y desigualdad. Los resultados del modelo evidencian que los choques tecnológicos sesgados a favor de la utilización de mano de obra calificada incrementan el crecimiento económico y la brecha salarial; pese a ello, una política fiscal adecuada permite alcanzar un equilibrio de largo plazo con mayor expansión del producto interno bruto (PIB) y menor brecha salarial que en la situación inicial.
