Las Sierras del Chicó: un estudio de caso sobre el uso de espacios abiertos urbanos

Abstract

Para generar la eficiencia económica en la asignación de recursos naturales se necesita establecer el uso que genera el mayor valor económico. Para el caso de activos naturales como la tierra, su valor económico total está determinado por la agregación de valores mercadeables y no mercadeables. A través de la utilización de herramientas de valoración de bienes no mercadeables se hace una estimación del valor económico de las Sierras del Chicó bajo diferentes escenarios. La estimaciones realizadas sirven como evidencia para la toma de decisión sobre el mayor y mejor uso para estas tierras.
