Das Sondervermögen Infrastruktur – der Königsweg zur Ertüchtigung der Verkehrsinfrastruktur?

Abstract

Das Sondervermögen „Infrastruktur und Klimaneutralität“ kann helfen, die marode Verkehrsinfrastruktur in Deutschland zu sanieren. Er führt jedoch zu einer steigenden Verschuldung und einer intransparenten Mittelverwendung. Höhere Ausgaben für die Verkehrsinfrastruktur sind wichtig, um die Produktivität und das wirtschaftliche Wachstumspotenzial zu steigern. Eine ineffiziente Verteilung (insbesondere zugunsten der Schiene) gefährdet jedoch ihre Wirksamkeit. Ohne strukturelle Reformen und einen strategischen Ansatz für die Verwendung der Mittel wird die Produktivität der Bahn nicht steigen.
