Trumps aggressive Zollpolitik: Zäsur für Weltwirtschaftsordnung und EU-Handelspolitik

Abstract

Donald Trumps Rückkehr ins Präsidentenamt markiert eine drastische Zäsur für die globale Wirtschaftsordnung: Mit seiner pauschalen und erratischen Zollpolitik gefährdet er nicht nur internationale Handelsbeziehungen, sondern auch die Rolle der USA als stabilisierender Hegemon. Besonders exportorientierte Volkswirtschaften wie Deutschland drohen massive wirtschaftliche Einbußen. Die EU reagiert mit einer doppelten Strategie aus Gesprächsangeboten und Gegenzöllen, um Eskalationen zu vermeiden und zugleich Entschlossenheit zu zeigen. Gleichzeitig wird der Ausbau globaler Freihandelsabkommen zu einer zentralen strategischen Notwendigkeit, um die ökonomische Resilienz gegenüber den USA und China zu stärken.
