ifo Branchen-Dialog 2022: Wege zu mehr Resilienz in globalen Lieferketten

Abstract

Pandemie, Lieferengpässe und der Krieg in der Ukraine haben die globalen Lieferketten ins Wanken gebracht und etablierte Prinzipien wie das Just-in-time-Prinzip infrage gestellt. Wie hat die Industrie auf die Schocks reagiert? Diversifizierung der Zuliefererbeziehungen und Digitalisierung der Lieferketten sind Maßnahmen, die die Reduzierung von Abhängigkeiten und eine bessere Überwachung der Wertschöpfungskette erlauben. Eine Rückverlagerung der Produktion nach Deutschland ist dagegen nicht zielführend. Auch eine Abkehr der Industrie von China ist nicht realistisch, stattdessen dürfte eine „China + 1“-Strategie an Bedeutung gewinnen.
