Flüchtlingsströme infolge des russischen Angriffskrieges auf die Ukraine: Ihre Verteilung unter Berücksichtigung sozialer Kontakte

Abstract

Zurzeit befinden sich Millionen Menschen aus der Ukraine auf der Flucht. Da internationale soziale Kontakte einen Einfluss auf die Wahl von Migrationszielen haben, kann der Facebook Social Connectedness Index herangezogen werden, um eine mögliche Verteilung der Flüchtlinge innerhalb der EU zu berechnen. So wird neben dem Bevölkerungsanteil der Staaten auch ihre soziale Verflechtung mit der Ukraine berücksichtigt. Während man in Deutschland nach dem Bevölkerungsgewicht die meisten Kriegsflüchtlinge erwarten würde (19%), ergibt sich bei Berücksichtigung der sozialen Kontakte nur noch ein Anteil von 12%. Darüber hinaus zeigen sich auch innerhalb Deutschlands starke Unterschiede zwischen einzelnen Bundesländern und Kreisen im Hinblick auf die sozialen Kontakte zur Ukraine. Beispielsweise würden nach diesem Maß etwa 10% der Flüchtlinge in Deutschland auf Berlin entfallen.
