Wie könnte das Potenzial solo-selbständiger Wissensarbeit besser genutzt werden?

Abstract

(Solo-)selbständige Wissensarbeiter*innen leisten einen wichtigen Beitrag für gesamtwirtschaftliches Wachstum. Allerdings zählt Deutschland bezüglich des Anteils selbständiger Wissensarbeiter*innen nicht zur internationalen Spitze und kann so das Potenzial, das von der (solo-)selbständigen Wissensarbeit ausgeht, nicht vollständig ausschöpfen. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass in Deutschland der Wert von solo-selbständiger Wissensarbeit, bzw. von Selbständigkeit im Allgemeinen, in Politik und Gesellschaft nur vergleichsweise gering eingeschätzt wird. Selbständigen werden in Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich eine Reihe von Hürden in den Weg gelegt. Dazu zählen Barrieren bei der Unternehmensgründung genauso wie eine überbordende Bürokratie, ein schwieriger Zugang zu externer Finanzierung sowie Rechtsunsicherheit hinsichtlich des Erwerbsstatus Selbständigkeit an sich.
