Zur Repräsentativität der ifo Konjunkturumfragen

Abstract

Die ifo Konjunkturumfragen bilden die Grundlage für die Berechnung zahlreicher Konjunkturindikatoren. Zudem werden die Daten für verschiedenste Forschungsprojekte verwendet. Für möglichst aussagekräftige und robuste Ergebnisse muss das Panel der Umfrageteilnehmer zum einen groß genug sein und zum anderen die Gesamtheit der deutschen Unternehmen möglichst repräsentativ abbilden. Untersucht man die Zusammensetzung des Teilnehmerpanels anhand verschiedener Kriterien, wie Repräsentativität auf Sektor- und Wirtschaftszweigebene, regionaler Verteilung sowie Verteilung nach Größenklassen, dann zeigt sich, dass die befragten Unternehmen die deutsche Wirtschaft sehr gut abbilden.
