Europa: Klimaneutral bis 2050?

Abstract

Viele Ökonominnen und Ökonomen sprechen sich für mehr Anstrengungen in der europäischen Klimapolitik aus. Das zeigen die Ergebnisse des 35. Ökonomenpanels von ifo und FAZ. Eine Ausweitung des EU-Emissionshandels auf die Sektoren Verkehr und Wärme wird von einer großen Mehrheit ebenso unterstützt wie zusätzliche sektorspezifische Investitionen, insbesondere in Gebäude und Verkehr. Die Einnahmen aus der CO2-Bepreisung sollten als Pro-Kopf-Pauschale an die Bürgerinnen und Bürger zurückerstattet werden. Eine grünere Geldpolitik durch die EZB findet kaum Zustimmung.
