Beobachtungen zur US-Leistungsbilanz

Abstract

Die USA haben im Güterhandel ein Defizit mit der Welt, aber Überschüsse im Dienstleistungshandel und bei Primäreinkommen (Vermögenseinkünfte). Im Verhältnis mit der EU weisen sie seit 2009 einen Leistungsbilanzüberschuss auf, da das Defizit im Güterhandel von Überschüssen bei Dienstleistungen und Vermögenseinkünften mehr als ausgeglichen wird. Gegenüber Deutschland ist die US-Leistungsbilanz zwar im Defizit. Eine isolierte Betrachtung ergibt aber in einem integrierten Wirtschaftsraum wie der EU keinen Sinn, da Deutschland US-Dienstleistungen über Niederlassungen US-amerikanischer Unternehmen in Irland und den Niederlanden importiert.
