Trump’s Taxation Plans

Abstract

In their commentary Johannes Becker and Joachim Englisch, University of Munster, show that Donald Trump’s tax reform plans will clearly lead to tax relief for all taxpayers, but especially for owner- managed companies and heirs. The growth effects of the reform, however, will be measured by the financial resources behind it and are expected to be fairly weak. Large tax cuts are stoking fears of intensified tax competition.
