Abstract

Against the backdrop of a dampened global economy, the economic development in the German electrical industry in 2016 was only slightly upwards. The Brexit vote or the increasing anti-globalisation rhetoric world-wide are only some of the reasons why the very export-oriented companies of the electrical industry see themselves confronted with growing economic and political uncertainty.
