Climate Notes: the Environment and Democracy

Author

Listed:
  • Daniel Leithold
  • Jana Lippelt

Abstract

The Environmental Performance Index (EPI) looks at a country’s ecological overall performance, while the Environmental Democracy Index (EDI) shows democratic participation options in the field of the environment. The article shows that, contrary to the general consensus, there is little correlation between both indices.
