Climate Notes: 15 Years of Millennium Development Goals – the Past and Future of Ecological Sustainability

Abstract

2015 marks the deadline for the implementation of the millennium development goals set in 2001. The idea of the goals was to improve the living conditions of millions of people worldwide. To this end, an approach featuring eight higher goals and sub-goals was devised. This contribution looks at the question of whether these goals can be implemented, especially in the area of sustainability.
