Abstract

According to the latest forecasts by the members of the EUROCONSTRUCT network, the extent of residential construction measures in the 19 EUROCONSTRUCT countries is expected to increase by almost 2% this year. Growth will be slightly higher in 2016 and 2017. As of 2016 activity in the new-build sector is expected to pick up significantly. However, new-build volumes will still remain almost 40% below the record level of 2006 in the last year of the forecasting period. By contrast, the maintenance and modernisation segment will more or less return to its peak value of 2007.
