Abstract

According to the latest results of the Ifo Investment Survey, manufacturers plan to increase their investments by almost 9% in 2014. For 2013, the company responses indicated only a slight increase of about 1%. As in 2013, capacity expansion is a prime investment target in 2014, primarily with the intention to expand or alter the existing production programme.
