Abstract

According to the forecasts of EUROCONSTRUCT members, residential construction output in the 19 partner countries is expected to increase moderately in the 19 partner countries in 2014. Overall, construction experts are expecting residential construction to rise by around 1½%. In both of the preceding years construction output was price-adjusted by over 4% and reduced by around 2%. The outlook for the years ahead remains cloudy. Residential construction demand forecasts for the short-term are subdued. Residential construction demand in 2015 and 2016 is expected to increase by around 2% and 2½% respectively.
