Residential Construction Activity in Europe Remains Subdued – Selected Results from the Euroconstruct Summer Conference 2012

Author

Listed:
  • Ludwig Dorffmeister

Abstract

After a downturn of around 20% overall in European residential construction in the period from 2008 to 2010 and a moderate increase of 1.5% in 2011, residential construction should decrease slightly this year. This was the consensus reached by the members of the Euroconstruct group at their summer conference in London. Experts do not expect any visible recovery for 2013 either.
