Abstract

Die Unternehmen waren mit ihrer derzeitigen Geschäftslage erheblich unzufriedener als im Vormonat. Ihre Perspektiven für das kommende halbe Jahr schätzen sie ebenfalls etwas schlechter ein. Der ifo Geschäftsklimaindex sank damit zum vierten Mal in Folge. Die Verschärfung der Finanzmarktkrise in den Vereinigten Staaten ist in den Umfrageergebnissen teilweise berücksichtigt, nach dem Insolvenzantrag von Lehman Brothers gingen etwa ein Drittel der gesamten Unternehmensmeldungen beim ifo Institut ein.
