Niederlande: Vom Musterknaben zum Problemfall - und zurück?

Im Jahr 2003 erlebten die Niederlande die erste Rezession seit zwei Jahrzehnten. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt verringerte sich um 0,8%. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt verschlechterte sich deutlich, die Arbeitslosenquote stieg im Jahresdurchschnitt auf 3,8%. Die Teuerungsrate erreichte 2,2%. 2004 wird das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt voraussichtlich um rund 1% wachsen. Die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte im Jahresdurchschnitt bei 5½% liegen, und die Konsumentenpreise dürften das Niveau des Vorjahres um 1½% übertreffen. 2005 wird das BIP um 1¾% expandieren. Die Arbeitslosenquote wird auf knapp 6% ansteigen, und die Preise werden sich um 1½% erhöhen.
