Griechenland: Deutliche Konjunkturabschwächung nach Olympiaboom

Abstract

Nach einem sehr dynamischen ersten Quartal und anschließender Schwächephase hat in Griechenland 2003 die Konjunktur kräftig an Schwung gewonnen. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt nahm nach vorläufigen Berechnungen um 4,2% zu. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt hat sich - bei stetig zunehmender Beschäftigung, aber infolge unverändert kräftiger Einwanderung wenig veränderter Arbeitslosenquote (9,3% im Jahresdurchschnitt) - weiter verbessert. Der Preisanstieg ließ etwas nach und lag bei etwa 3,4%. Dieses Jahr dürfte das BIP um 4¼% wachsen. Die Arbeitslosenquote wird im Jahresdurchschnitt auf 8½% sinken. Die Preiserhöhung wird 3¾ betragen. 2005 dürfte das BIP um 3% expandieren, die Arbeitslosenquote wird auf knapp 8¼% fallen, und die Konsumentenpreise werden um 3¾% steigen.
