Investitionen der allgemeinen Elektrizitätswirtschaft weiter rückläufig

Abstract

Die im Frühjahr 2003 gemeinsam von der Vereinigung Deutscher Elektrizitätswerke (VDEW) und dem ifo Institut durchgeführte Investitionserhebung zeigte, dass die Unternehmen der allgemeinen Elektrizitätsversorgung ihre Investitionen im gesamten Bundesgebiet 2002 um 3% auf 3 780 Mill. € verringerten. Dieser Rückgang gegenüber dem Vorjahr ist allein auf die niedrigeren Ausgaben für Fortleitungs- und Verteilungsanlagen zurückzuführen. Die Investitionen in Kraftwerke und insbesondere in die sonstigen Bereiche sind dagegen kräftig ausgedehnt worden. Den Planangaben der Elektrizitätsversorgungsunternehmen (EVU) zufolge sollten die Investitionen 2003 um 4% auf 3,93 Mrd. € gesteigert werden. Da die EVU derzeit nur noch mit geringen Erhöhungen des Stromverbrauchs rechnen, wollen sie ihre Investitionsausgaben mittelfristig weiter zurückführen. Zum Ende des Planungszeitraums im Jahr 2007 dürften die Investitionen bei rund 3 Mrd. € liegen. Allerdings zeichnet sich ab, dass die notwendige Erneuerung der Kraftwerke, die ab der zweiten Hälfte dieses Jahrzehnts begonnen werden muss, zu höheren Ausgaben für Erzeugungsanlagen führen wird.
