Ifo Business Survey in October 2002

Author

Listed:
  • Hans Günter Russ

Abstract

In German manufacturing, commerce, retailing and wholesaling, the business climate chilled in October as well. The indicator has now deteriorated in west Germany for the fifth time in succession. This trend was solely attributable to the business expectations, whereas the upward trend in assessments of the current business situation continued. Also in east Germany, the business expectations declined.
