Betriebsrente versus Privatvorsorge

Bei der Rentenreform scheint ein Kompromiss in greifbare Nähe gerückt. Während des Rentengipfels Anfang September sagte die Bundesregierung zu, die Forderung der Gewerkschaften nach Ausbau der betrieblichen Altersvorsorge teilweise zu erfüllen: Die Betriebsrenten sollen mehr Gewicht bei der Altersversorgung der Arbeitnehmer bekommen. Für den Rentenexperten und Mitglied des "Sachverständigenrats zur Begutachtung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Entwicklung" Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bert Rürup (Universität Darmstadt) ist dies allerdings "unter den gegenwärtigen Umständen ... nicht der 'Königsweg' zu einem gleichermaßen kapitalgedeckten wie flächendeckenden Ergänzungssystem". In seinem Beitrag plädiert Prof. Rürup, neben der Ausweitung des Versichertenkreises, für die Einführung einer obligatorischen Privatvorsorge. Für Prof. Dr. Aloys Prinz, Universität Münster, dagegen "scheinen insgesamt die Vorteile der betrieblichen Altersvorsorge größer als die einer reinen Privatvorsorge-Lösung (zu sein)".
