Irland: Tigersprung in die Inflation

Abstract

Nachdem das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) 1999 um 8,7% gestiegen war, zeichnet sich für 2000 sogar ein Wachstum von 9 1/2 % ab. Die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte auf rund 4 1/2 % sinken, die Konsumentenpreise aber um 5 1/4 % steigen. Für 2001 kann - bei weiter verbesserter Arbeitsmarktlage und etwas gedämpftem Preisauftrieb - mit einer Expansion des realen BIP von 7 1/2 % gerechnet werden.
