Auslandsinvestitionen und Technologietransfer in Entwicklungs- und Transformationsländer

Abstract

Der Aufsatz beschäftigt sich mit den ausländischen Direktinvestitionen, die 1998 weltweit einen neuen Rekordwert erreicht haben. Das Auslandsengagement Deutschlands nahm gegenüber 1997 besonders stark zu, dabei beschränkte sich aber der Anstieg der Investitionen auf die Industrieländer. Das Engagement in den Entwicklungs- und Transformationsländern blieb nahezu konstant. Nach Umfagen des ifo Instituts im Frühjahr und Sommer 1999 werden die Auslandsinvestitionen deutscher Unternehmen in Entwicklungsländer auch in den Jahren 1999 bis 2003 nahe zu gleich bleiben. Die Umfrageergebnisse heben auch die Wichtigkeit der Standortgegebenheiten, wie Standortqualität und Rechtssicherheit, hervor.
