Westdeutsche Industrie : Investitionswachstum läßt 1999 nach

Abstract

Das ifo Institut erhebt zweimal jährlich Daten zur Investitionsentwicklung im verarbeitenden Gewerbe. An der Haupterhebung des Jahres 1999 haben sich fast 2000 Unternehmen beteiligt. Nach den Ergebnissen haben die westdeutschen Industrieunternehmen 1998 mit rund 85 Mrd. DM um gut 11% mehr für neue Bauten und Ausrüstungsgüter ausgegeben als 1997. Für 1999 haben sie eine Steigerung um knapp 5% vorgesehen und damit die Investitionsplanung vom Herbst letzten Jahres weitgehend bestätigt. Hauptzielsetzung der Investitionstätigkeit bleibt die Kapazitätserweiterung, und zwar in erster Linie mit der Absicht, das bestehende Produktionsprogramm zu erweitern bzw. zu verändern.
