Ostdeutsche Industrie : Produktionsanstieg verlangsamt sich, Verlustabbau gerät ins Stocken, Beschäftigung wieder leicht rückläufig

Abstract

Das Wachstum der ostdeutschen Industrieproduktion ist in der zweiten Jahreshälfte 1998 ins Stocken geraten. Gleichzeitig hat sich die Stimmung der Unternehmen stark eingetrübt. Wichtige Konjunkturindikatoren, wie die Geschäfts- und Produktionserwartungen aus dem ifo Konjunkturtest sowie die Auftragseingänge, deuten auf eine weitere Abflachung des Produktionsanstiegs hin. Im Durchschnitt des Jahres 1999 erwarten die befragten Industrieunternehmen dennoch ein Produktionsplus von 7%. Überdurchschnittlich dürfte der Zuwachs im Investitionsgütergewerbe ausfallen. Die Ertragslage der ostdeutschen Industrieunternehmen hat sich im zweiten Halbjahr 1998 wieder verschlechtert.
