Industrie (West) : niedrigere Kapazitätsauslastung im Vorproduktbereich

Abstract

Der vorliegende Bericht informiert über die Ergebnisse der ifo Konjunkturumfrage für den Monat März 1998 in der westdeutschen Industrie. Demnach nutzten die Betriebe im Berichtsmonat ihre Anlagen durchschnittlich zu 86,8%. Dieser Wert lag etwas unter dem Resultat aus der vorangegangenen Befragung, die für Dezember 1997 einen Wert von 87,4% ergeben hatte. Die Auftragsbestände reichten unverändert für eine Produktion von 3,0 Monaten. Die Urteile über die Auftragsreserven blieben im Verlauf des ersten Quartals weitgehend unverändert. Der kommenden Entwicklung sahen die Teilnehmer mit deutlich weniger Optimismus entgegen als zum Ende des vergangenen Jahres. Das galt insbesondere für die künftige Auslandsnachfrage. Entsprechend verloren auch die Produktionspläne an expansiver Kraft. Die Einschätzung der Kapazitäten im Hinblick auf den vorhandenen Auftragsbestand und die für die kommenden 12 Monate erwartete Nachfrage hat sich gegenüber Dezember allerdings nur geringfügig verschlechtert.
