1998 : Gesamtwirtschaftlicher Preisanstieg bleibt moderat

Abstract

Im Zeitraum von 1991 bis 1995 stiegen die Preise in Deutschland - gemessen am Preisindex des Bruttoinlandprodukts (BIP-Deflator) - im Gefolge des Einigungsbooms mit 3,5% p.a. vergleichsweise stark. 1996 fiel die Steigerungsrate auf 1,0% zurück. Im vergangenen Jahr dürfte mit knapp 0,75% der niedrigste Wert seit 1954 erreicht worden sein. Die statistische Zerlegung des BIP-Deflators, der die Preisentwicklung der Produktionsfaktoren Arbeit und Kapital im Inland mißt, zeigt, daß der weit unterdurchschnittliche Anstieg seit 1996 auf die sinkenden Lohnstückkosten zurückzuführen ist. Da die Lohnstückkosten 1998 erneut zurückgehen dürften, wird der gesamtwirtschaftliche Preisanstieg auch 1998 mit 1% außerordentlich moderat bleiben.
