Struktureller und sozialer Wandel - Konsequenz für amtliche Statistik und Konjunkturumfragen

Abstract

Die Bedeutung von Konjunkturumfragen und die daraus gewonnenen qualitativen Daten haben gerade in der Zeit eines beschleunigten sozialen und strukturellen Wandels stark zugenommen. Globalisierung, neue Technologien, rasanter Wertewandel, immer kürzere Produktzyklen, verschärfter Wettbewerb und individualisierte Konsumentenwünsche erschweren die quantitative Erfassung der wirtschaftlichen Situation über die amtliche Statistik. Allerdings können aus Umfragen gewonnene Informationen nicht als Ersatz für quantitative Daten angesehen werden, die beiden Quellen müssen sich vielmehr ergänzen. Der vorliegende Beitrag beleuchtet zahlreiche Aspekte des angeschnittenen Problemkreises.
