Sektorale Investitionsentwicklung in den neuen Bundesländern

Abstract

Das Statistische Bundesamt hat die getrennte Berichterstattung über die Investitionstätigkeit in den alten und den neuen Bundesländern im Rahmen der Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnung mit dem Berichtsjahr 1994 eingestellt. Da zur Beurteilung des Strukturwandels, insbesondere in den neuen Ländern, jedoch Informationen über die sektoreale Entwicklung der Investitionen in West- und Ostdeutschland erforderlich sind, führt das ifo Institut seine 1991 begonnene ifo Investorenrechnung Ost fort. Nach den Ergebnissen dieses Rechenwerks wurden von 1991 bis 1997 insgesamt rund 1,14 Billionen in die ostdeutsche Wirtschaft investiert. Rund 667 Milliarden DM davon flossen in den Unternehmensbereich, zusätzlich investierte der Sektor Wohungsvermietung gut 283 Milliarden DM. Der Investitionsboom erreichte 1995 - mit gesamtwirtschaftlichen Ausgaben für neue Bauten und Ausrüstungen von 195,75 Milliarden DM - seinen Höhepunkt. Nach einem leichten Rückgang auf rund 195 Milliarden DM im Jahr 1996 dürfte das Investitionsvolumen 1997 etwas deutlicher - auf rund 190 Milliarden DM - sinken.
