Abstract

Die Ergebnisse der Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnung für das erste Halbjahr 1997 sind in mehrerer Hinsicht positiv. Zum einen bestätigen sie die - auch vom ifo Institut - vertretene Auffassung, daß sich die konjunkturelle Erholung fortsetzt; zum anderen erhöht sich mit der neuen Datenlage die Wahrscheinlichkeit, daß die Defizitquote des Staates 1997 den Maastricht-Referenzwert erreicht.
