Europäische Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion und Beschäftigung

Abstract

Trotz des fortgeschrittenen Stadiums, in dem sich die Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion befindet, wird angesichts der hohen Arbeitslosigkeit zunehmend nach der Beschäftigungswirkung gefragt. Von den Maßnahmen zur Erfüllung der Konvergenzkriterien gehen negative Wachstums- und Beschäftigungseffekte aus. Von der Währungsunion selbst werden dagegen positive Effekte erwartet. Trotzdem sind zusätzliche Maßnahmen vor allem auf nationaler Ebene erforderlich.
