Wasserwerke investieren 1996 über 5 Mrd. DM : Wasserverbrauch steigt nicht mehr

Abstract

Seit 1990 sinkt die Wasserentnahme aus dem Netz der öffentlichen Wasserversorgung. 1995 betrug der Rückgang in den alten Bundesländern 1 %, in den neuen Bundesländern sogar 5 %, wobei sich dort die rückläufige Industrietätigkeit stark auswirkt. Seit einigen Jahren ist ein rationelleres Verbraucherverhalten und ein zunehmender Einsatz wassersparender Geräte und Anlagen zu beobachten. Dies ist auf eine größere ökologische Sensibilität, aber auch auf die laufenden, vor allem in Ostdeutschland kräftigen Preissteigerungen zurückzuführen. Da der Anteil des Grundwassers an der gesamten Förderung stark gewachsen ist, muß der Wasserschutz in diesem Bereich verstärkt gewährleistet werden. In Gesamtdeutschland haben 1995 die Bruttanlageinvestitionen der öffentlichen Wasserversorgung eine Größenordnung von 4,45 Mrd. DM erreicht, wovon 30 % auf Ostdeutschland entfielen. 1996 sind die Investitionsbudgets im Durchschnitt um fast ein Fünftel auf insgesamt 5,2 Mrd. DM aufgestockt worden. Reichlich 60 % des Investitionsvolumens wird von der Sanierung und dem Neubau des Leitungsnetzes beansprucht. Wassergewinnungs- und Aufbereitungsanlagen erlangen zunehmende Bedeutung bei der Investitionsplanung.
