Bauwirtschaft in Deutschland : beschleunigter Strukturwandel

Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft ein "Branchenbild Bauwirtschaft" erstellt. Über den Teil, der speziell das Baugewerbe betrifft, haben wir bereits in Heft 22/1996 berichtet. In diesem zweiten Beitrag werden ökonomische Aspekte der gesamten "Baukette" behandelt, und es wird versucht, die Einflüsse zu systematisieren, die einerseits von der Nachfrage nach Bauwerksnutzungen und nach Bauleistungen sowie andererseites vom Angebot an Bauwerksnutzungen und an Bauleistungen auf die Struktur der Bauwirtschaft ausgehen. Die Analyse ergibt, daß es mittelgroßen Bauunternehmen unter dem erhöhten Anpassungsdruck besonders schwerfallen dürfte, sich auf "offensive Zukunftstrategien" umzustellen. Um im Umstrukturierungsprozeß bestehen zu können, sind Anstöße im FuE-Bereich, Orientierungshilfen, z.B. durch Pilotprojekte, und fundierte Informationen, z.B. über aussichtsreiche Geschäftsfelder im europäischen Baumarkt, erforderlich.
