Abstract

Eine Umfrage, die das ifo Institut 1995 bei bayerischen Unternehmen und Designern durchgeführt hat, bestätigte die wichtige Rolle, die Design als Innovations- und Wettbewerbsfaktor spielt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen allerdings auch, daß sich nicht alle Unternehmen dieser Bedeutung bewußt sind. Hier tut sich ein wichtiges Betätigungsfeld für die Designzentren auf. Verbessert werden könnte nach Meinung der befragten Designer die Ausbildung. Als wünschenswert wurden vor allem ein engerer Praxisbezug, die stärkere Integration anderer Wissensgebiete sowie eine umfassendere Computerausbildung bezeichnet.
