Produktentwicklung in der britischen, irischen und deutschen Industrie

Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat zusammen mit einem nordirischen und einem schottischen Institut die Innovationsfähigkeit deutscher, britischer und irischer Betriebe verglichen. Eine Erhebung, die Ende 1994/Anfang 1995 in der Industrie durchgeführt wurde, ergab, daß der Anteil der innovativen Betriebe mit 70% in Deutschland am höchsten war. Das häufigste Innovationshemmnis war in Deutschland der zu geringe erwartete Ertrag, während in Großbritannien und Irland Finanzierungsprobleme im Vordergrund standen. Auch das Humankapital spielt eine wichtige Rolle, wobei der Mangel an qualifiziertem Personal in Deutschland mit 25% deutlich geringer ist als in Großbritannien (31%) und Irland (35%).
