Westdeutsche Industrie : Investitionsbereitschaft hält 1996 an

Abstract

Nach den Ergebnissen des ifo Investitionstests vom Frühjahr 1996 haben die Unternehmen des westdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbes im vergangenen Jahr mit 73,4 Mrd. DM um 7 % mehr für Bauten und Ausrüstungen ausgegeben als 1994. Die Steigerungsrate war zwar geringer als nach den Meldungen vom Herbst 1995 zu erwarten war (+12%), aber deutlich höher als im Durchschnitt aller Wirtschaftsbereiche (+3 %). Offensichtlich haben die Unternehmen ursprünglich für 1995 geplante Projekte nach 1996 verschoben, denn sie haben die Investitionspläne für 1996 gegenüber der Umfrage vom Herbst leicht nach oben korrigiert. Nach den aktuellen Erhebungsergebnissen dürften die Bruttoanlageinvestitionen des westdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbes 1996 um rund 6 % (real gut 5 %) zunehmen. Wichtigstes Investitionsmotiv ist die Rationalisierung.
