Abstract

Während der ersten Monate des Jahres 1995 haben Nachfrage und Produktion noch kräftig zugenommen. Danach hat sich der Aufschwung abgeschwächt. Die Wirtschaftspolitik wirkte per saldo leicht bremsend. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) dürfte um gut 2 % gestiegen sein. Die tendenzielle Besserung der Arbeitsmarktsituation hielt an. Die Arbeitslosenquote war mit 7,2 % im Jahresdurchschnitt etwas niedriger als 1994 (7,5 %). Zumindest bis zur Jahresmitte 1996 dürfte sich das wirtschaftliche Wachstum weiter verlangsamen, aber spannungsfrei bleiben. Das reale BIP wird sich wahrscheinlich um 1,5 bis 2 % erhöhen. Die Arbeitslosenquote wird sich nur wenig verringern. Für 1997 ist mit einer allmählichen Erholung zu rechnen. Das reale BIP dürfte um knapp 2,5 % wachsen. Die stärksten Impulse sind vom Export zu erwarten. Bei wenig verbesserter Arbeitsmarktlage könnte die Arbeitslosenquote im Jahresdurchschnitt um etwa 0.5 Prozentpunkte niedriger sein als 1996. Die Preisentwicklung dürfte moderat bleiben.
