Abstract

Der Bericht beschreibt die finnische Konjunktur. 1995 nahm das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt um etwa 5 % zu. Das war die höchste Rate aller westlichen Industrieländer. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt hat sich zwar etwas gebessert, die Arbeitlosenquote betrug aber immer noch 17,2 %. Die Konsumentenpreise stiegen dank der EU-bedingten Verbilligung der Nahrungsmittel nur um 1 %. 1996 bleibt das Wirtschaftswachstum spannungsfrei und mit gut 3 % kräftig im Vergleich zu den anderen westeuropäischen Ländern. Die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte im Jahresdurchschnitt auf reichlich 16 % sinken. Die Inflation beschleunigt sich nur wenig. 1997 dürfte das reale BIP um annähernd 2,5 % expandieren. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt bessert sich erneut nur wenig. Die Arbeitlosenquote könnte um etwa 0,5 Prozentpunkt auf knapp 16 % zurückgehen. Die Konsumentenpreise dürften - bei eher lebhafter werdendem Wettbewerb - um 2 bis 2,5 % steigen.
