Ostdeutsche Industrieunternehmen erwarten etwas besseres Auslandsgeschäft

Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat im Juli 1995 die am ifo Konjunkturtest beteiligten ostdeutschen Industrieunternehmen zur Entwicklung und zur regionalen Verteilung ihrer Ausfuhren im Jahr 1994 befragt. Nach den Ergebnissen dieser Erhebung war der Anteil des Auslandsgeschäfts am Gesamtumsatz mit 17 % zwar höher als die amtlich ausgewiesene Exportquote (12 %), aber immer noch erheblich niederiger als in Westdeutschland. Der wichtigste Absatzmarkt der ostdeutschen Industrie sind inzwischen die Mitgliedstaaten der EU, auf sie entfielen 1994 mehr als zwei Fünftel der Gesamtexporte. Die Länder des ehemaligen RGW nahmen ein Drittel der Auslandslieferungen ab. Für das zweite Halbjahr 1995 rechnete per saldo fast ein Zehntel der befragten Unternehmen mit höheren Auslandbestellungen. Besonders groß waren die Erwartungen an den asiatischen Markt, auf dem 1994 immerhin schon 8 % der ostdeutschen Exporte abgesetzt wurden.
