Regionale Bautätigkeit : weitere Anteilsgewinne des Südens ; ausgewählte Ergebnisse aus der "ifo Bauvorausschätzung/Regionen in Westdeutschland", Ausgabe 1995-1998

Abstract

Nach einem neun Jahre anhaltenden steilen Aufschwung läuft der Bauboom in Westdeutschland jetzt aus. Zu dem Höhenflug haben fast alle Regionen beigetragen. Differenzierte Analysen und Prognosen für das zweistufig in fünf Großregionen und 75 Raumordnungsregionen untergliederte ehemalige Bundesgebiet enthält die Ausgabe 1995-1998 der "ifo Bauvorausschätzung/Regionen in Westdeutschland", deren Textband soeben fertiggestellt und ausgeliefert wurde. Auf der Ebene der fünf Großregionen läßt sich besonders deutlich zeigen, wie stark die Makrofaktoren auf die konjunkturelle Entwicklung der Bautätigkeit durchschlagen. Das schließt nicht aus, daß der Wohnungsbau in den letzten Jahren recht unterschiedliche Beiträge zum Wachstum des BIP geleistet hat und daß es über längere Perioden Gewinner- und Verlierer-Regionen gibt. Seit vielen Jahren und auch in der Vorausschätzung kann der Süden, vor allem Bayern, deutliche Anteilsgewinne erzielen, wohingegen der Westen, speziell Nordrhein-Westfalen, im Bausektor Bedeutungsverluste hinnehmen muß. Diese Aussage gilt auch, wenn man feiner nach 75 Raumordnungregionen untergliedert, es ergibt sich dann jedoch eine größere Vielfalt der Entwicklungsmuster.
