Verarbeitendes Gewerbe in den neuen Bundesländern : Investitionen 1995 voraussichtlich auf neuem Rekordniveau

Abstract

Die auf der jüngsten ifo Investitionsumfrage (Beteiligung: 1600 Unternehmen) basierende Hochschätzung ergab, daß sich die Investitionen 1994 mit 18,8 Mrd. DM etwa auf dem Vorjahresniveau stabilisiert haben (1993: 18,75 Mrd. DM). Der Anteil der auf das Grundstoff- und Produktionsgütergewerbe entfallenden Investitionen erhöhte sich erneut stark, das Investitionsgüter produzierende Gewerbe hat weiter an Gewicht verloren. Eine Betrachtung der Investitionsstrukturen zeigt eine weiterhin klare Dominanz des Kapazitätserweiterungs-Motivs. Trotz des bereits erreichten hohen Niveaus - 1994 wurden je Beschäftigten 26000 DM investiert, verglichen mit 11500 DM im verarbeitenden Gewerbe der alten Bundesländer - ist für 1995 eine Steigerung um über 6% auf fast 20 Mrd. DM geplant. Auch das Zahlenmaterial der Treuhandanstalt (Statistik der vertraglich gesicherten Investitionszusagen) spricht dafür, daß diese Summe realistisch ist. Nach 1995 aber dürfte der erste Schub mit sehr hohen Modernisierungs- und Erweiterungsinvestitionen, der in Ostdeutschland direkt nach dem Beitritt einsetzte, allmählich nachlassen.
