Abstract
1994 erhöhte sich das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) Frankreichs um 2,8%. Obwohl sich die Arbeitsmarktsituation im Laufe des Jahres verbesserte, war die Arbeitslosenquote mit 12,4% um fast 1% höher als im Vorjahr. Im Jahresdurchschnitt erhöhten sich die Verbraucherpreise um 1,7%. Der Überschuß der Leistungsbilanz ging auf 46,9 Mrd. Ffr zurück. Die Wirtschaftspolitik sieht vor, bis Ende 1996 die Zahl der Erwerbslosen von derzeit knapp 3,2 Mill. um 700.000 zu verringern. 1994 betrug das öffentliche Finanzierungsdefizit 6% des BIP. Es dürfte 1995 auf ca. 5% und 1996 auf ca. 4% des BIP sinken. Die Wechselkurspolitik bleibt darauf ausgerichtet, den Franc innerhalb des EWS zu stabilisieren. Die Inflation soll mittelfristig auf max. 2% gehalten werden. Das reale BIP dürfte 1995 mit fast 3% knapp zunehmen, außerdem wird sich der Staatsverbrauch wahrscheinlich um ca. 1,5% ausweiten; beim privaten Konsum ist eine Zunahme von ca. 2% abzusehen. Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt bessert sich die Lage allmählich, d.h. die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte auf ca. 12% zurückgehen. Die Konsumentenpreise dürften im Jahresdurchschnitt um rund 2% steigen. Der Aktivsaldo der Leistungsbilanz erreicht vermutlich eine Größenordnung von 50 Mrd. Ffr. 1996 wird sich das Wirtschaftswachstum wohl etwas verlangsamen. Das BIP dürfte um knapp 2,5% expandieren, bei dem Staatsverbrauch ist ein Plus von ca. 1% wahrscheinlich und der private Konsum dürfte sich um 1,5 bis 2% ausweiten. Die Arbeitslosenquote wird unter 12% fallen. Im Jahresdurchschnitt ist mit einem Anstieg der Konsumentenpreise von ca. 2,5% zu rechnen. Die Leistungsbilanz wird wohl einen Überschuß in der Größenordnung von 40 Mrd. Ffr aufweisen.
