Abstract

Im Handwerk vollzog sich der Reformprozeß wesentlich schneller als in anderen Wirtschaftsbereichen. Von 1989 bis 1994 stieg die Zahl der Betriebe um 61 % auf rund 128.500, die Zahl der Beschäftigten um 170 % auf rund 1.167.000, und der Umsatz expandierte um 313 % auf 90 Mrd. DM.
