Westdeutsche Industrie : trotz DM-Aufwertung höheres Produktionswachstum als 1994

Abstract

Im westdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbe hat sich im vergangenen Jahr ein zügiger Produktionsaufschwung durchgesetzt. Beigetragen hat dazu neben der Auslandsnachfrage, deren Belebung schon Anfang 1993 eingesetzt hatte, mit Verzögerung auch das Inlandsgeschäft. Die Konjunkturentwicklung im Ausland bleibt günstig und damit im Prinzip auch die Voraussetzung für einen weiteren Anstieg der Inlandsnachfrage, getragen insbesondere von der sich verstärkenden Investitionsneigung. Die Wachstumskräfte werden allerdings unter dem Einfluß der währungsbedingten Verschlechterung der Wettbewerbsposition nur eingeschränkt zur Entfaltung kommen können. Dennoch wird sich die Produktion des verarbeitenden Gewerbes, die 1994 real um 3,6% gewachsen war, 1995 voraussichtlich um mindestens 5% ausweiten.
